What is Illustrator?
Adobe Illustrator is a software for designing and creating vinyl's and many more creative projects. Illustrator is known as a vector graphics network. A vector graph or image is a image created of many points and curves. The opposite however, a raster image, is a image made up of pixels and made altogether.
Step 1
Choose the basic sizes for your keychain in horizontal and vertical. Step 2 Find the image you want to cut out on google and paste it on your Illustrator creation. Once you have sized the image to what you want, image trace it to make it one sedimentary photo with many points and edges. Step 3 Send it to the Laser engraver by saving it through your USB drive. Once you have connected the USB drive to the laser, you are ready to print! Step 4 Choose the correct size material for your print and put it in aligned correctly. Then print! |
The Final Masterpiece
Step 1
Create your design similar to the laser by finding an image off of google. Step 2 size the image to anything under 5 inches. We made a cut out of everyone's names to go on our designer notebooks. Step 3 Insert correct size and color sheet you want for your cutout and begin printing. Once it has finished printing, cut the product out and flatten it with a squeegee. Step 4 Once everything is flattened out, peel of the top tissue with care and paste it on whatever surface can fit under it. |

Summary of Laser/Vinyl Cutout
After finishing these two separate projects, I have came to mind that Adobe Illustrator is the most confusing but most enjoyable design software. I look forward to doing more projects like this in the future.
